Over the years of study, practice and experience bring to the set a persona which will undoubtedly be recognized by the film industry as sheer genius. His beginnings were hashed out with many other independent film makers yet, he seems to be singled out for the respect, courtesy and knowledge of film production which make him the best all around choice for this series. John has a real working knowledge of all aspects related to bringing about the best from any script. He has worked in front of and behind the camera as an actor and cinematographer. Also his input has been an asset to several up and coming directors and producers of future award winning independent productions. | ||

![]() Jamie Richey Visualist/DP |
Jamie's
comprehensive experience in film and photography along with her extensive
studies in art history makes her position as Director of Photography a
natural fit. If you attended her premiere at the Ohio Independent Film
Festival last November, you would have seen first hand her ability to
convey a story visually. (If you missed it, check it out at alwaysi.com).
Fusing together topics of cultural fanaticism and her desire to offer
a fresh perspective to her audience, Jamie's photography transports the
viewer into a skewed reality of questionable, though intriguing, possibilities.
She has work displayed at Art Bias Gallery and Galleria Gianna in Cleveland,
Ohio. Upon viewing her pieces, you will notice the amalgam of influences
from Barbara Krugers' insinuating text to the artistic philosophies of
expression in the Zen culture of wabi, sabi and aware. Watch for her online
exhibit appearing soon at neofuturism.com. Whatever the medium, it is apparent that Jamie intends to affect the audience in a meaningful and thought provoking manner and encourages a complete cerebral submersion into the subject presented. Prepare to lose yourself in a moment of 'What if . . .', if only for the duration of the film . . . |

![]() Mark Colella Camera 1/Actor/Critic |
Mark,
a recent victim of the dot com boom/bust, is taking advantage of this
down time to concentrate on his stand-up comedy act and write a short
play titled "What Gives You the Right to Come and See My Play?" When
he's not busy entertaining on the mic you can find Mark performing with
the subversive sketch-comedy troupe "The Human Zoo". In a recent interview
Mr. Colella had this to say about his work with the cast of The Zoo,
"...it's great, I get to dress up in pampers and act like I'm eating
my own feces. The crowd just loves it."

![]() Alex Michaels Camera 3/Director |
Alex
has studied screenwriting at Stanford University, appeared on stage
at The Karamu House and The Cleveland Public Theatre (where he has also
directed). Alex was the winner of the 1998 Dreambuilders' Scribe Award
sponsored by Procter & Gamble. A TV Movie based on his one act play
"What Angels Fear" was broadcast on Channel 43 in February 1999 and
10 other stations in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois and Detroit, Michigan.
"What Angels Fear" won an American Scene Award from AFTRA. The movie
also went on to win four Midwest Regional Emmys. Alex P. Michaels, the
director Jim Friedman and lead actors Adam Lazzare-White and Greg Lauren
all received Emmys. Alex also has written and directed two digital features:
"Blood Kiss" and "Little Girl." The first feature, "Blood Kiss,"
has just been completed and is being submitted to U.S. and foreign festivals.
"Blood Kiss" is a subtle vampyre movie, which Alex says is influenced
by Jean Luc Godard. Alex maintains a website for his digital movie company
Prelude2Cinema at www.prelude2cinema.com.
Many a late night is spent updating the site and adding Flash games,
production journals, and movie clips. Alex is currently producing a
digital sci-fi anthology based on the old British TV show, "the SHIP."
Alex will direct one of the segments. Depending on funding for his digital
studio, Alex expects to move more into producing than directing.

![]() Tim DeLuca Sound/Grip Script Supervisor |
Tim
been doing movie stuff since 1999, starting on One as an extra. I decided
to get involved after years of interest, as a way to express my creativity
and meet some new peopl. After that I did a couple other things and
got involved in Combined Efforts Productions, starting out as general
crew and eventually rising to producer. I worked for them from spring
to the end of 1999 on the 2nd attempt to make Dawn of the End Times,
a near-future, sci-fi, feature-length movie. In early-2001, after a
while of wanting to work with him, I finally got a chance to do something
with Johnny at MDI. I look forward to many successful productions there
as well as continuing at Combined
Efforts.
